Frascati Singers were founded in 2001 and are a mixed voice community choir with a membership of about 35 based in Blackrock. We sing a wide range of modern, sacred and Irish choral music.  While our main event each year is our annual Christmas concert we also participate in choral competitions and support local Community events.

Search and selection for new Musical Director

After 5 magical years with Eunan McDonald at the helm of Frascati Singers, we sadly say goodbye to our talented director. What a great way to finish up with our virtual Christmas concert on 20 December 2020. We would like to thank him for the musical journey he took us on and wish him every success; he will be a difficult act to follow!

As we look forward to the eventual lifting of Covd-19  restrictions, we are commencing our process for seeking our next Musical Director. If you have the energy, enthusiasm, skills and experience to musically lead and further develop our choir and would like to be considered and/or seek further information, we would love to hear from you.

Please e-mail your CV and a cover letter to us at frascatisingersinfo@gmail.com. Please note that if there is any excess delay in getting back to you, our selection process timeframe will be dictated by the Covid-19 restrictions and when it is likely that we can perform again in person, so we would thank you for your patience.

 Current News

We hope you enjoyed our Christmas 2020 performance of select pieces. To view some of our performances, please tune in to our YouTube Channel.  We would like to thank our friends and families for their love and support of us during what has been a very difficult year for everyone.

A big congratulations to our three newly elected Trustees who were appointed at our AGM on 23 April 2021. Patricia Quigley, Barry O'Rourke and Tom Merriman join Rosario Kealy on our Committee, replacing our retiring Trustees Michael Shiel, Sarah-Jane Leonard
and Eamonn Quinn. The outgoing Committee wishes the incoming one all the very best for their terms.

2021 Plans

Frascati Singers are actively monitoring the public health situation and will be back rehearsing and performing as soon as it is safe to do so.

We will set out out plans for 2021 here when the situation becomes clear and it is safe to publicly sing again.

Stay tuned.

Contact us

We normally rehearse on Wednesday nights from 8-10pm in St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Mount Merrion Ave, Blackrock, Co. Dublin. We hope to be back rehearsing again soon.

At the moment we have no vacancies for any female singing part in the choir. However, if you want to join a 'waiting' list, please email us with your name, contact number and whether you are Soprano or Alto. We will then make contact if a vacancy arises.

We are on the lookout for male tenors so if you are a tenor and are interested in joining a choir, please drop us an email and we will revert once public health and government guidelines permit safe singing.

Our Thanks

We want to thank Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council for their continued assistance by way of community grants and to the parishioners of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church for the use of their hall for practice and their church for our Christmas concert performances and, of course, to all our family and friends who support us in doing what we love.
